The EAACI website has changed again! We work constantly to provide you with the best information platform that we can. In fact, new tools and content are being developed and implemented all year round and our target for 2019 is to keep the website as informative as possible, whilst also being very easy to navigate and not too overcrowded.

Let me highlight some of the more recent achievements:
1. The new EAACI Patients’ website is finally online. Do check it out: http://patients.eaaci.org
2. The Media Library – where you can find videos, webcasts and interviews recorded during Congresses as well as at other EAACI meetings – is still growing. See: http://webcast.eaaci.cyim.com
3. Details about EAACI events are updated all the time, including information about next year’s Congress. See: http://www.eaaci.org/eaaci-meetings
4. The EAACI Job Center – where you can advertise or look for a position in the immunology field for free – is open. See: http://www.eaaci.org/resources/job-center/eaaci-external-positions.html [Please note: ads from industry are not accepted]
5. A new page has been created for EAACI Position Papers. See: http://www.eaaci.org/resources/position-papers.html

The new EAACI Patients’ website is finally online! Do check it out: http://patients.eaaci.org
On the site, you’ll find a lot of useful information including: testimonials, the Junior Member Research and Clinical Blog, many resources including educational films, the Global Atlases, and the ‘Allergen Immunotherapy’ and ‘Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis’ guidelines.
In the news section, you can read position papers or joint projects, e.g. the Worldwide Map of Pollen Monitoring Stations, articles on pollution and asthma written by experts from EAACI and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAI), and more. Additionally, we have also summarised information about the EAACI Patients Organisation Committee.

I would like to remind you about the special pages created for Sections, Interest Groups and Working Groups: if you are a member of any of these, you can influence the webpage content. Please send your text directly to me and I will look after it. No IT work is needed from you.
If you would like to advertise a job position in the immunology field, please feel free to submit it using our EAACI JOB CENTER - http://www.eaaci.org/resources/job-center/eaaci-external-positions.html. [Only ads from industry will not be accepted].
Finally, I would like to bring your attention to the HONcode certificate which our Academy received this year, indicating that the EAACI website is a trustful source of information in our field and meets criteria in the following 8 areas: authoritative, complementarity, privacy, attribution, justifiability, transparency, financial disclosure, and advertising policy. This is an important achievement which I am proud to be part of!
Stay tuned!

New things show up on the website every day and we have changed the main page again to make it easier to use and even more informative. Details about EAACI events is being updated all the time (http://www.eaaci.org/eaaci-meetings). You can already search for information about next year’s Congress. Additionally, two crucial new pages have been created:
1. Task Forces - http://www.eaaci.org/organisation/task-forces/ongoing-task-forces.html
2. Position papers - http://www.eaaci.org/resources/position-papers.html

Let me highlight a few developments on the website, either newly introduced during the Congress this year or still ongoing.
For the first time this year we had live EAACI TV at the Congress. Many on-site interviews took place as well as session recordings which you could follow live at www.eaaci.org. This was a great option for those who could not attend the Congress in person but wanted to watch what was going on in real time.
Right now, the EAACI Media Library is open, which everyone – and not just EAACI members – can easily access after a short registration process (go to www.eaaci.org). There you can find videos, webcasts, interviews recorded during Congress and, in the future, content from other EAACI meetings. An easy search tool will guide you to the presentation you want to watch. Please do check it out and send your feedback to webeditor@eaaci.org.

I hope you all had great summer breaks!
Congress 2018 – what a great success! Nice place, good venue and great presenters! I congratulate everyone, organisers and participants, involved. At the Congress, many fruitful meetings took place where I was able to share my opinions and listen to your voices, hearing from motivated and creative people who brought fresh points of view.

I encourage you to visit the EAACI Job Center. You can reach it by clicking the tab in the upper right-hand corner which appears on all pages on the website. There, you can find informations about job offers from all around the world. If you would like to submit a job application, please use the online form. All vacancies are subject to a review process before being published in the Job Center and offers from industry will be rejected.

If you missed a presentation at one of our meetings, including at the Annual Congress itself, or even if you attended a meeting but would like to see it again, why not try our webcast area? Selected presentations can be found there and you can watch them at home at your convenience. You can access the website from your mobile phone, tablet or computer; why not give the site a try while you are waiting for your flight or travelling by train? Have a great summer!

I kindly remind all Sections, Interest Groups and Working Groups board members to delegate one person from each S/IG/WG, who will be responsible for specific S/IG/WG webpage editing. Please send your choice to: webeditor@eaaci.org.

The end of the year is always a good time to make summaries of what was achieved during the past year and of what is still on the pending list. This is also the end of the first year of my mandate as Website Editor and I am happy to share with you some of our achievements that I am proud of:
01.10.2016
After all of the big effort, which was put into the development of our main EAACI website (www.eaaci.org), now it is time to focus on our patients and create the best platform for them, where they can find the most up to date and reliable information about their health questions.

Welcome back after the summer holidays!
01.08.2016
Since June, you’ve been able to enjoy surfing around our new EAACI website. The homepage has been completely changed and the menu has been reorganised. I hope you like it.
01.07.2016
The EAACI Annual Congress 2016 is now behind us and I hope all participants had a great time and found the Congress scientifically invigorating. During the Congress, there were many opportunities to meet people involved in the creation and maintenance of the EAACI website. Thanks to all the members of the Website Committee and Communication Council for coming to meetings and sharing your thoughts with me. In my opinion the meetings were very fruitful and we discussed problems that are already being solved. The minutes from the 13th Web Com Business Meeting 2016 as well as my slides (which show what we have accomplished in the last months together with ongoing issues and some important web statistics) can be found in the Website Committee resources area on the EAACI website http://www.eaaci.org/organisation/committees/web/resources.html.

The annual EAACI Congress is coming! I wish all of participants very fruitful and interesting meeting. The Congress is a good opportunity to meet and talk about the website as well. Invitations are sent already. We do count on your attendance.
