After completing my degree in Medicine in 2008, I obtained my fellowship in Allergology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Milan in 2014.

During my fellowship period, I became involved in medical and research activities concentrating on nickel allergy, work-related and severe asthma.

Currently, I am working as consultant specialist in “Io e l’Asma” Center in the Pediatric Hospital of Brescia and in the Allergy Unit at Cremona Hospital, Italy.

Now I have focused my research interests on three main fields: rhinitis, asthma and contact dermatitis (especially nickel). Currently, my unit is working together with the Public Health University of Brescia to improve asthma management in collaboration with the Health Agency of Brescia as well as Primary Care Physicians.

Additional fields of interest are food allergy and urticaria.

I am actively involved in the Italian Society of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (SIAAIC) and hold the following positions: Secretary and Junior Member Chairperson in Lombardy Region and Secretary of the “Urticaria, Angioedema and Dermatological Allergology” interest group. I have also been the webmaster and a social media reference person of SIAAIC.

I would like to bring my own personal experience to the Occupational Allergy Interest Group. I hope not only to improve the basic standard of care for patients of occupational diseases but to promote a more all-encompassing approach to the treatment of patients by involving public authorities, national health institutions, physicians as well as the patient.

I think it's fundamental to promote a multidisciplinary treatment of occupational diseases to enhance prevention by behavioral interventions.

In order to achieve this purpose, it is important that there is an ever stronger collaboration between the various EAACI sections/Interest Groups and between EAACI and all the European and International societies.
