I studied for my MSc in human molecular genetics at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and University Alexandru Ioan Cuza Iasi (Romania) and graduated in 2011. Subsequently, in 2012, I obtained a grant from the Univeristy of Barcelona and Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Spanish Government to continue research on the role of CERKL gene and its contribution to the pathogenesis of Retinitis pigmentosa dystrophy. While I was at the University of Barcelona, I was also involved with teaching laboratory classes about molecular genetics to bachelor students.

In 2013, I had the great opportunity to be involved in a collaboration research project for 3 months at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center (United States of America), where I contributed to the phenotypic characterization of retinal knock-out mouse models and their high significance in the development of human retinal disorders.

I obtained my PhD in Clinical Medicine, Immunology field, from Semmelweis University, Budapest (Hungary) in 2017. My PhD Thesis focused on the ''Characterization of the inflammatory status of preterm neonates''. The significant results of my PhD Thesis have been published in international immunology journals but I also had the honor to present them at the EAACI Congress 2016 in Vienna, the 15th EAACI Immunology Winter School 2017 in Sierra Nevada and other international conferences and important advanced immunology schools around the world which were sponsored by grants, awards and scholarships.

I am currently a Geneticist at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (United Kingdom), where I provide high quality clinical diagnostic genetics services to national and international patients with rare disorders by using Next Generation Sequencing. Besides clinical work, I also offer support with practical training in clinical genetics of first year medical students at the University of Birmingham and also to Trainees of the NHS Scientist Training Programme. At the same time, I collaborate and continue work with the immunology research group from Semmelweis University.

It is a great honour and pleasure to actively support and shape the EAACI community within next two years as a JM Representative of the Basic&Clinical Immunology Section. I seek to endorse and help the JMs with their high quality basic research, clinical work and education at the highest level in immunology. Moreover, to provide their bridge amongst all EAACI members and colleagues worldwide in order to strengthen their scientific interactions, exchange of ideas and frienship, leading to fellowships, mentorship, training courses.
